NSBS re-elected its Chairman and renewed its Management Board

At a General Meeting held, the the Bulgarian National Freight Forwarding Association (NSBS) re-elected Tsvetin Todorov, Manager of Alexander Logistics, for a new three-year term as Chairman of the Management Board of the Association.

 

In his speech to the members, Mr. Todorov stressed that the industry is facing many challenges, as we are working not only under the conditions of a number of crises (decline in production and trade, national and geopolitical problems, military actions in Ukraine and the Middle East, shortage of labour resources, etc.), but also in an extremely competitive environment, as we are an integrated part of the European and international transport systems in our region.

Ivan Petrov, Marieta Grigorova, Vasil Borisov, Ivan Kirchev, Kolyo Doinov and Irina Velikova were re-elected as members of the Board of Directors of NSBS. The composition of the Board was completed by two new members - Boril Ivanov, Manager of Donau Transit, long-time member of the Board of Directors of NSBS in previous mandates and its former Chairman, and Veselin Stoyanov, Manager of Transpress.

The General Meeting re-elected for the next mandate the current members of the Control Board – Emil Dandolov, Olga Vasilevska and Yordan Peychev.

At present, NSBS represents 116 forwarding and logistics companies, which is an undeniable proof of the constantly growing confidence in the Association. Since its establishment in 1992, the Association has been strengthening its organisation, developing in accordance with the needs of its members, expanding the range of services to facilitate their activities and working in the interests of the Bulgarian transport, forwarding and logistics sector.

The Board reported on its activities during the past year. In addition to the active work in protecting the interests of the sector, equal representation and positioning in the most important international and national organisations, the role of the Association's Training Centre, which plays an important role in preparing the specialists that the Bulgarian forwarding and logistics industry needs and will need in the future, was also discussed.
